The Role
We are seeking a talented Motion Designer with expertise in gaming and casino animations to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will create engaging and dynamic animations for our portfolio of gambling games, bringing characters, environments, and UI elements to life. This role requires a deep understanding of casino game dynamics and the ability to create impactful visual effects that enhance the player experience.
Key Responsibilities
Game Animation Development
● Design and implement high-quality animations for game characters, including idle states, reactions, and celebratory moments
● Create dynamic background animations that enhance the gaming atmosphere while maintaining performance optimization
● Develop special effects for key game moments including wins, losses, and bonus features
● Animate UI elements to provide clear feedback and enhance user interaction
● Design and implement transition animations between different game states and screens
Technical Implementation
● Work with HTML5 game development specifications to ensure animations are optimized for web deployment
● Create and optimize animations using Spine for efficient game implementation
● Develop animation guidelines and specifications for different device capabilities
●Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth implementation of animations
●Create reusable animation components and maintain animation libraries
Creative Collaboration
● Work closely with the UI/UX team to ensure animations support game mechanics and enhance usability
● Collaborate with game designers to create animations that reinforce game feedback and rewards
● Partner with the art team to maintain visual consistency across all animated elements
● Present animation concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders
● Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for new game features and effects Quality Assurance
● Test animations across different devices and platforms to ensure consistent performance
● Optimize animation file sizes and performance for various deployment scenarios
● Document animation specifications and guidelines for development team implementation
● Review and refine animations based on stakeholder feedback and technical requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
● 5+ years of motion design experience, with at least 3 years in gaming or iGaming
● Strong portfolio demonstrating casino game animations, UI motion design, and special effects
● Experience with HTML5 game development and animation optimization
● Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and other industry-standard animation tools
● Understanding of animation principles and timing for casino game feedback
● Experience creating optimized animations for web and mobile platforms
● Expert proficiency in Spine animation software
Preferred:
● Experience with Cocos or other game engines
● Knowledge of JavaScript and CSS animations
● Background in character rigging and animation
● Experience with procedural animation systems
● Understanding of gambling game mechanics and player psychology
● Familiarity with WebGL and Canvas animation capabilities
